Export Config

The Export Config action downloads the current SecurityCheck Pro configuration as a JSON file. The export covers all component settings including Web Firewall configuration, .htaccess Protection rules, Malware Scanner options, and Control Center settings.

The Control Center secret key is intentionally excluded from exports for security reasons. You will need to re-enter it after importing the configuration on another site.

To export, open the Maintenance menu in the SecurityCheck Pro toolbar and click Export Config. The browser will download a .json file. Store this file securely — it contains your full security configuration.

Common use cases:

  • Migrating settings to a new or cloned Joomla site.
  • Creating a configuration backup before making significant changes.
  • Applying a tested configuration to multiple sites.
